- Global deforestation was responsible for about 4.0 Gt CO₂ emissions in 2022, equivalent to 10.4% of total anthropogenic CO₂ emissions.
- In the EU27, LULUCF emissions were a net sink of 0.21 Gt CO₂eq in 2022, which is approximately 40% less than in 1990.
