报告摘要
South Sudan has a population of 12.34 million with a low income level. Diabetes mortality is high, particularly among adults aged 30–69 years, with significant deaths for both males and females. Leading causes of death include cardiovascular diseases (35%), cancers, and other non-communicable conditions, with diabetes accounting for a notable but lesser share. Risk factors for diabetes are prevalent, such as high rates of overweight and obesity, and low physical inactivity. However, there is no national operational policy, guidelines, or monitoring for diabetes or related risk factors. Medicines and technologies commonly unavailable or no data indicates limited capacity for diabetes management. Data on mortality has high uncertainty due to reliance on global estimates.
