National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee (NAIAC) Year 1 Report Summary

• Train Federal Workforce: Expand AI training for civil servants, establish a dedicated AI academy, and reform immigration policies to attract international talent.

4. International Cooperation

• Policy Harmonization: Internationalize the AI RMF and foster multilateral coalitions for AI climate initiatives.
• Diplomatic Engagement: Strengthen alliances in AI diplomacy and research through agreements like the U.S.-EU Joint AI Roadmap.
• Multilateral Research: Launch the Multilateral AI Research Institute (MAIRI) to foster global AI collaboration.

III. Forward Focus
Years 2 and 3 will address evolving AI challenges, including Generative AI governance, workforce adaptation, criminal justice system transparency, and global cooperation. NAIAC will prioritize public engagement, particularly with marginalized communities, to ensure inclusive AI development.
