• Burkina Faso had 67 cases and 2 deaths; Mali had 25 cases and 5 deaths; Nigeria reported the highest number (45 cases).
• Sporadic cases were noted across several countries; microbiological confirmation is necessary for case characterization during the post-epidemic period.

II. Synthesis of the 2010 Epidemiological Situation (Weeks 1-30)

• Cumulative cases: 23,241; Deaths: 2,464 (CFR: 10.6%);
• Alert and epidemic districts remained unchanged.
• Niger and Nigeria showed the highest number of cases but lower CFRs.

III. Identified Pathogens
