- Materiality and Governance: 45% performed materiality assessments recently; Governance alignment with frameworks like SASB, TCFD, GRI; Compliance with emerging regulations (e.g., SEC rules) lags in many organizations.
Five Initiatives for Advancing ESG Maturity (Part Two)
To mature ESG efforts, organizations should adopt the following steps:

- Invest in Purpose-Built Technology: Use platforms to centralize data, automate processes, and ensure data integrity for informed decision-making.

- Build a Strong Controls Program: Develop data management policies, implement quality checks, establish chains of custody, and train staff.
- Adopt a Creative Approach: Innovate by finding value in ESG, leading in ambiguity, and fostering adaptability.
