报告摘要
Chile's Cervical Cancer Profile Summary
Morbidity and Mortality
- Crude incidence: 15.5 per 100,000 women (2020).
- Age-standardized incidence: 11.1 per 100,000 women (2020).
- Cumulative risk: 1.1% for ages 0-74 (2020).
- Deaths: 51,900 female deaths (2019).
- Mortality-to-incidence ratio: 0.53 (2020).
- A population-based cancer registry exists (2021).
Primary Prevention
- HPV vaccination: Program covers girls, with 80% vaccination rate (2020), introduced nationally in 2014 for ages 9-14, one dose given at 9 years, final dose by age 15. Target population compliance is 100% in theory, but actual coverage at age 15 is 70-90%. Total HPV-related burden and deaths addressed through prevention.
- Risk factors: Tobacco use prevalence among women aged 15+ is 26% (2020). Data on condom use in high-risk sex is from 2015-16 and incomplete. HIV incidence among women aged 15+ is 0.13 per 1000 (2020).
Secondary Prevention
- Screening: National cervical cancer screening program exists, targeting women aged 25-64. Primary screening test is cytology. Approximately 79% of women ages 25-64 reported screening in the last five years (2019). Guidelines for strengthening early detection at primary health care exist, and a clearly defined referral system is in place for referring from primary to secondary and tertiary care.
Treatment and Supportive Care
- Guidelines and infrastructure: National guidelines exist for cervical cancer management. Available services include radiotherapy (8 units per 10,000 patients), various medical professionals, and cancer centers at tertiary institutions. Palliative care for non-communicable diseases is generally accessible in the public health system.
- Drug details: Data excludes methadone and focuses on oral morphine consumption.
Global Context
- Chile has a WHO cervical cancer elimination strategy with targets for 2030, focusing on reduction through prevention and treatment improvements.
