Lithuania's startup ecosystem ranked second in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for Value of VC Investment 2023, behind Estonia. Per capita VC investment also placed second.

From 2018 to 2023, ecosystem value grew 7.1x to €13.7B, significantly outpacing CEE's average growth of 3.6x and Baltics' 2.7x.

Enterprise Software, Energy, and Security were the most funded sectors in 2023.

Lithuania topped CEE for the second year running with its dynamically developing capital city, Vilnius rated highest among CEE countries for venture-backed company formation.

Lithuania ranks second in CEE for the amount of dry powder held by domestic VC funds.

Vilnius remains the focal point of the ecosystem, accounting for 91% of Lithuania's startup combined value and hosting Europe's largest Tech Campus under development. The city facilitated the emergence of its third unicorn.
