云猿生数据_KubeBlocks把所有数据库运行到K8s上_39页_11mb
报告摘要
KubeBlocks is an open-source system for deploying and managing data infrastructure on Kubernetes, allowing unified operations for various databases such as MySQL, OceanBase, Redis, and Kafka. Speaker Cao Wei, a former Alibaba Cloud Database General Manager and creator of PolarDB, discussed how KubeBlocks abstracts Kubernetes APIs (like Pods, Services, Persistent Volumes, and K8s control plane) to provide flexible database administration through declarative APIs and low-code extensions.
Key features include enhancing performance and availability by optimizing database kernels for cloud environments; offering robust backup and recovery with object storage support, enabling point-in-time recovery and cross-environment disaster recovery; improving observability via OpenTelemetry integrations, dashboards, and AI-based log analysis; and including alarm management with automatic alerts,_noise reduction, and resolution capabilities.
KubeBlocks supports extension through add-ons to integrate new database engines with minimal development, currently catering to over 33 database types as of CNCF landscape inclusion. It benefits enterprises by simplifying platform engineering, reducing costs through IaC automation, and ensuring consistent user experiences across diverse database deployments.
